   Pastor Edith Council was born March 9, 1952 in LaGrange, North Carolina.  She graduated from Pamlico County High School in Bayboro, NC and moved to New York in 1970.   In 1985 she relocated to Plainfield, New Jersey.


   Pastor Council was ordained to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in June 1992 by Apostle Herbert L. Bright, Sr., pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church.  She served for several years as Associate Pastor prior to committing to a work at Holy Ground Outreach Ministries and in January 2005 she was ordained Pastor.


   Pastor Council attended the Ark of Safety Bible School, completing with honors, General Bible I & II.  In July of 2001, she also completed the Chemical, Alcohol & Drug counseling program (CADC), a 2 year course at New Reality Counseling Center.


   She is currently active in prison ministry preaching the Word of God every 3rd Sunday to inmates at Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ.She has travelled as a team member to Guyana, on several occasions and Jamaica preaching God’s word.


    Pastor Council is a wife, mother of 3 daughters and grandmother to 7 grandchildren.Realizing that God is calling for the believer to offer up our lives as a praise unto Him, whereby He is glorified in every area and aspect of our lives, she willingly ad joyfully accepts the call.
